Lando Norris Bids Farwell to Formula 1 in Holland with Victory!

24/08/26
After just six editions of the Grand Prix since its return in 2021, it is already over again: Formula 1 said goodbye to the Netherlands with a fantastic and exciting race, bringing a short but very successful chapter to an end. The Dutch King attended with his family and congratulated the winners. Unfortunately, he did not get to see his countryman Max Verstappen on the podium. The local hero lost control of his Red Bull on the opening lap, crashed heavily and was forced to retire from his final home Grand Prix. In changing and difficult conditions, Lando Norris, Kimi Antonelli, George Russell, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc fought an exciting battle at the front. Numerous tyre changes and different strategies kept the race wide open until the closing stages. In the end, World Champion Lando Norris came out on top, taking victory for McLaren ahead of Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. Hamilton and Leclerc finished fourth and fifth. Liam Lawson also delivered a very strong performance, stepping in for the injured Hadjar and bringing the Red Bull home in seventh place – probably close to the best possible result with the car at the moment. Another excellent result came from Nico Hülkenberg, who finished a very impressive eighth for Audi. And there is hardly any time to recover: Formula 1 moves straight on to Monza this week, where Ferrari will be looking for a strong result in front of its home crowd.
