Just one week after Miami, Formula One arrived in Montreal for another Sprint weekend, and Mercedes once again dominated the action. George Russell claimed victory in the Sprint race ahead of Lando Norris and teammate Kimi Antonelli. In the Grand Prix, Russell and Antonelli battled for the lead in the early stages before Russell was forced to retire with a technical problem. Antonelli then controlled the race from the front and secured a comfortable victory, extending his remarkable winning streak. Lewis Hamilton finished second for Ferrari, while Max Verstappen took third place for Red Bull. Further World Championship points were scored by Charles Leclerc, Isack Hadjar, Franco Colapinto, Liam Lawson, Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz and Oliver Bearman. With another dominant performance, Kimi Antonelli extends his lead in the World Championship and heads to Monaco with a commanding advantage as the European season gets underway.
